Havnby founder Dan Deng was interviewed for Bloomberg’s feature, Chinese EV Drivers Are Ditching Hotels for High-Tech Car Camping, which explores how people are turning their vehicles into more comfortable places to travel, rest, and spend time.
Speaking with Bloomberg, Dan described a shift in how customers use car mattresses. Alongside camping trips, people are looking for comfortable ways to take a midday nap or rest during a long drive. The vehicle is becoming a more personal space, with comfort playing a larger role in everyday use.
“More people are transforming their cars into a third living space,” Dan told Bloomberg.
That observation reflects the thinking behind Havnby: making better use of the space inside a vehicle so people can rest more comfortably wherever their plans take them. It continues to guide our approach to vehicle-specific mattresses and practical accessories for life on the road.
The story was reported by Julia Zhong and K Oanh Ha and was also covered by Phoenix New Media.
